OGO Introduces DTF Direct-to-Film Printing on-demand
The team at OGO, in collaboration with Print Factory, is proud to launch the first-ever DTF on-demand fulfilment services in Australia.
OGO was one of the first companies to pioneer DTF transfers and printing in Australia in 2020. Using Brother and Aeoon-based printers, it created incredible, vibrant, and opaque prints on all garment types.
The technology has evolved yearly, and since 2022, OGO has used DTF transfers on all sweatshirts and infant apparel. The adoption of DTF has allowed OGO to expand its product range, as it allows for on-demand ordering from our exclusive partnership with AS Colour and quick application of custom designs.
The direct-to-film transfers, now supplied by Print Factory in Melbourne, Australia, offer the industry’s most vibrant, solid and durable prints. Using water-based CMYK inks, underbase, and adhesive, you get full-colour designs on all garments that last wash after wash.
While DTF offers considerable benefits over DTG printing, there are limitations and considerations.
- DTF does not support gradient fades or translucent pixels, as the underbase must be 100%. So, use solid colours and pixels only.
- Because DTF requires an adhesive base, limit very sharp points and fine lines in your design.
- DTF prints are thicker and more solid than other water-based processes like DTG. As such, avoid large solid areas in your design, such as blocky prints. Break up your design with transparent areas and breaks. This will help improve the feel and breathability of your garment.
